That was the first board I was active on (really it was 1 of 2 along with Movie Awards. I wasn't on IMDb all that long). There were a lot of trolls on there to be sure, and I ended up moving almost exclusively to Movie Awards, but there were a lot of great people there too, some of whom are around here as well.

That place peaked during season four, when there was a good balance of lengthy and analytic discussion about the series itself and the casual off-topic that more or less overtook the board in the following years. There were a few trolls in those days, but they were far outnumbered by the people who took the board seriously and made posts of legitimate quality; not to mention, they were easy to avoid, and some were actually entertaining.
Between seasons five and six or so, the place descended into being a total hellhole. I still posted there, more infrequently than I had in the past, just to keep in touch with the posters that I always enjoyed conversing with (many of whom grew inactive during that time). Most of that activity was relegated to a single thread where we talked about movies, it was basically the "safe haven" of that board as the rest of it was overrun with absolutely garbage trolling and nonsensical "discussion". Ugh. That place was fun while it lasted, and even continued to be fun if you knew the right people to talk to. But yeah, it was a shit-show by the end. I also don't think there was a single Game of Thrones related post on there since maybe early 2015.
That place never got as bad as The Walking Dead board, to be fair.

Yeah, that was pretty much the only place I returned to near the end. Discussing quality movies with people like you, TheDanger and co. were what made me interested in IMDb boards in the first place.
