Such a divisive actress . I'd say definitely YES . Not always consistent but can truly shine with the right material.

Sure, she's not exactly "great", or even that good, but she's giving a solid performance here or there. She's usually terrible with her script choices though.

her and hilary swank must just really enjoy absolute garbage. I'd still say Berry has a better career than Swank overall. + her upcoming movies look more interesting.

I prefer Berry as an actress because I don't think she's quite as limited as Swank is. I think that Swank still has the advantage though career wise just because she's Caucasian, and almost a decade younger than Berry. Swank has the new Soderbergh film. Plus, she has a television series with Donald Sutherland, and another film with Helena Bonham Carter and Jeffrey Tambor. What They Had also seems like it could be baity since it's about a woman going back to her hometown because her Alzheimer's-stricken mother wanders out into a blizzard. It also stars Michael Shannon, and it seems like he's been on a roll recently. Berry does have the new Kingsman film, but I wonder how big her part will end up being since there's so many other big stars that will be in the sequel too. I also heard that Kings was pretty bad, so it seems like yet another bust for Berry. I have to give her a lot of credit for trying, but it seems like she's been in a slump since her Oscar win. Swank has been in a slump too, but at least she did get some buzz for Amelia, Conviction, and even The Homesman.

I am just saying, i believe it was Ebert who sarcastically said both must like jogging together and discussing which garbage script to do next lol. Wgats funny is i wonder that myself as well. ok

KINGS hasn't been released yet (not even a teaser or trailer) so how do people know it's bad ? I think Halle also did some good stuff post-oscar win : THEIR EYES WERE WATCHING GOOD , THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE , FRANKIE AND ALICE , CLOUD ATLAS ,THE CALL not to mention her X-MEN FRANCHISE which sort of maintained her popularity. But yeah , she deserves better . I mean she's as good as Taraj P. Henson.I think she would have rocked in a film like HIDDEN FIGURES. The best thing for her right now is to find a great TV show. ps : AMELIA was a flop and Swank wasn't really good in it. But I really liked her performances in both CONVICTION and THE HOMESMAN. I also believe that Swank is suffering from the "Uma Thurman syndrome" : her unconventionnal looks make it very difficult for some people to cast her.

Yeah didn't Frankie and Alice get screwed over by the distributor, i remember when that was being released and had several articles come out about it. It had a limited release in the United States on December 10, 2010 to qualify for awards. The film had a wide theatrical release on April 4, 2014.
