Guys, thanks for posting your thoughts on this. It was a very interesting read. I'd love if ya'll can shed some light on 2 questions here. Really interested in what you think here. - What do you think about the murder conspiracy? Oswald cannot be the sole person behind this, right? As they revealed in Pixels, Kennedy shot first. Seriously, I have a personal idea, but I can't post it on a public forum.

Jaw dropping filmmaking. I literally am in awe every time I revisit it.

An insanely brilliant film. I can't quite grasp how a movie of such magnificence and complexity can even be accomplished, yet alone be accomplished so seamlessly. Costner is fucking amazing here too. I just love the guy.

Two thumbs up. I'm a sucker for righteous liberal indignation.

Costner's acting in that scene is Law & Order: SVU Mariska Hargitay label of bad, it's just so wooden and self-concious, and keeps that way throughout the entire film. I loved the film but I'm with you there. I really wish they'd cast someone better than Costner who's so dull that I kept wondering how he became a star at first place. The rest of the ensemble (particularly Bacon, Jones, Oldman and Sutherland) were great though.

just re-watched this last night after watching in 10th grade history, which at the time I thought it was too long and too boring man was I naive.
It's probably the most well-crafted film of the nineties. It's great at every aspect that the film medium can offer which is beyond rare.
