i thought we had this thread and wanted to add ....................but maybe not? Jordan / Pippen...........Malone / Stockton.........Montana / Rice ...........who else?
This is last years WNBA Rookie of the year Ailyah Boston with this years Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark...........they are the best 1-2 punch in their league atm and they may play together for 20 years .........this is the sweetest thing even if you don't like sports btw

If Ricardo Quaresma had lived up to his full potential then it’s him + the GOAT Cristiano Ronaldo but unfortunately Quaresma waited until the tail end of his career to start being serious about being a professional. So regrettably I must say Angel Di Maria/Messi

For any sport I think it's gotta be Gretzky and Messier. For others-
Baseball- Ruth and Gehrig
NBA- Magic and Kareem. Probably two top 5 players which is the only duo you can say that about.
NFL- Prob. Montana and Rice if you're looking at a sustained period of time. Brady and Moss were together a very short time but they have to be up there as well (greatest QB and no. 2 WR). Brett Favre and Reggie White in Green Bay deserve a mention (greatest defensive lineman and probably a top 5 QB). Mahomes and Kelce could be a contender here going forward (Kelce is already arguably the greatest TE of all time and barring a serious injury I think Mahomes is at a minimum the no. 3 QB and has a shot at no. 1)

64 Points today....... Clark and Mitchell are amazing and they generated POINTS like Machines- 64 out of 100 points - excluding assists?  What a backcourt - best backcourt 1-2 punch since.......?

I didn't see this until today.........Clark may make All-WNBA 1st team (likely) and Mitchell the 2nd team (possible)........this stat is almost incomprehensible...... .they generated 88 of 100 points  ....... .Clark now generates more points than any player EVER (she was tied last week)....... together this may be the most lethal backcourt......... ever. I'm calling out the hoops fans on this board to give me an NBA backcourt like this........... urbanpatrician ? countjohn ? ............Bueller?

Can't compare the NBA to WNBA, bud. WNBA is easier to dominate with the majority of players being chumps. Fever having a mediocre frontcourt also has to do with it. Their backcourt is making up for what their frontcourt isn't contributing. I'll say Isaiah Thomas and Joe Dumars is the best backcourt of all time but them having Rodman and Laimbeer and Mahorn and Aguirre made them probably the best frontcourt for one period. Also later Jordan with Rodman and Pippen. You can't find anything random to bloviate Caitlin, my man. Their lack of frontcourt (Boston is overrated) is exactly why they haven't elevated yet, and why Clark and Mitchell is made to look better. It's impossible for Jordan to be responsible 90% of their points since Rodman and Pippen weren't gonna lay down and take the night off. |

The Fever frontcourt can sometimes score - Boston & Smith.....and then they'll disappear for like 3 games |

Those two stupid fucks on the Warriors combined for 70+ I think 17 times. Yeah, that may be THE one - I was thinking this is a more modern type stat for several reasons ..........Golden State is very similar to the Fever team in terms of hitting many 3's and pace of play etc........what's so shitty about the WNBA is scoring 100 points is pretty rare and the team and these 2 have done it back to back - on the road - they scored 54 / 100 the previous game without assists ...........and Clark had 12 assists so that was 70+ also.......it's pretty crazy |

They played a lineup with Worthy as the 2 guard often? Steph & Klay, Thomas & Dumars yes ok but.....just checking? The Lakers had talented front courts so I doubt any 2 guys did 88% of generative scoring .........also I'm not "letting then win something first" - wtf ...............it's not a championship thread ffs - they accounted for 88 of 100 points - come on ya cynic  |

points today - almost as much as this one ^ and that's without assists .........pretty sure with assists Clark alone generated ~ 55 .......no one has ever equalled her points generated numbers which now are ~ 39 / 40 for the year.........and apparently this duo has a trademark nickame (? too) - "The Splash Sisters" for merchandise ........alrighty then ..........best backcourt in a while ........
