I thought we could need this. Feel free to leave your answer in a reply aswell and also your reasoning behind your pick.
The Empire Strikes Back for me because of the beautifully paced emotional drama, the incredibly adventurous story, the most amazing enviromental concepts ever in a Star Wars film and the stunning cinematography which underlines the central conflicts. It even plays with a lot of symbolism regarding the colours and the enviroment and the entire film seems to me to be about Luke's inner struggles to balance out his strng feelings for his friends and the thoughtful restrained ways of the Jedi.

Revenge Of The Sith for me, basically because I found it to be the most interesting and entertaining of the series and the character of Anakinis very well developed throughout it. But, with the exception of Return Of The Jedi, which I found dull and plodding and The Force Awakens, which is just a less interesting rehash of A New Hope, all the other films are more or less on par with each other, equally good.

Return of the Jedi. Seeing this when they re-released the trilogy in 1997 is when I really felt myself falling in love with movies, as well as finding my desire to make them myself. Not just my favorite Star Wars movie, but one of my favorite movies period. Vader's intimidating entrance, the "gangster" approach with Jabba, Luke fighting the rancor, the speeder bike chase on Endor, the best, most emotional lightsaber duel of the series, Vader saving Luke. Just scene after scene of the best stuff the genre has to offer.

Empire Strikes Back, pretty much for the same reasons as you but I think you like it a lot more than I do overall.

ESB, it's the most perfect of the SW films. Striking the right balance and tone, as well as being a hella entertaining.

Original is my personal favorite, but without nostalgia I'd probably prefer ESB.

I consider the original trilogy and The Force Awakens to all be about on par with each other. Return of the Jedi might be my sentimental favorite, though, since it's the one I loved most as a kid and I think the Luke/Vader story is absolutely great.
