I haven't seen a WNBA game all year. I've seen the 2nd half of some Celtics playoff games this year but thats it.
Have seen like 12 NBA games in the last 10 years.
So I guess I'll say "I don't watch either" but just thought this question was interesting given how there's more WNBA talk than any other league on this board. Only NFL and mayyyybe tennis might compete with the WNBA right now on this board.

A lot of intrigue around the WNBA and all the respect to them, but I personally am probably never going to be more interested in them than the NBA. The level of ability and competition is never going to be there.

* There are very few things you can do on Planet Earth right now that are as entertaining as watching Caitlin Clark play basketball..........unfortunately she only does it in the hellhole that is the WNBA - with a bunch of dorky pituitary cases - who are boring af to watch  ....... so NBA wins* I don't think the WNBA is popular on MAR........I am pretty sure I'm the only person who ever posted about being at a game........and I ain't going back soon  |

fuck no.
it’s dope wnba is getting more notice but it just isn’t or ever will be as exciting as the nba. i know nba has been on a bit of a decline in regard to viewership as of late (espns coverage of the playoffs and esp the finals is ass. legitimately feels like another regular season game with how they cover it. they do nothing different with the court, don’t really make any sick pregame montages anymore, and have stephen a smith saying dumb shit at the halftime show ffs). the finals this year would’ve been lacklustre as a neutral fan since game 4 & 5 were blowouts and games 1-3 weren’t really all that competitive except for the last 6 mins or so, but the excitement from the highlights will always be better than that of wnba.
after 4-5 years of cavs vs warriors in the finals the nba has had 6 different champs in a row, so i do think the league is in an interesting place atm. also there’s a generational talent in wembanyama (more of this board needs to watch this dude). he had like 3/4 jaw dropping plays a game in his rookie season and is only going to get better (barring injuries).

LOL, no. Enjoy reading about some of the drama and Caitlin Clark's arms but I've never watched a WNBA game in my life and I don't see that changing.
Not much into NBA these days either. I'll watch some NBA playoffs but it ranks behind doing things in real life, movies, or if the Yankees are on so it's only if I've got nothing to do. They need to move the 3 point line back and end the "dueling transition 3's" era.

The penalty for missing still applies, and you still take a shot if you succeed I can't possibly see this going poorly |

Btw - the reason the WNBA s also getting trounced here - besides that it's comparatively unathletic - is because no WNBA player - not boring af Aja Wilson or rebound burger Angel Reese - does ANYTHING that a man can't do better except Caitlin Clark........Clark like Anthony Edwards is 22 years old - and they are "the future" of their sports - Clark has a unique skill - see below - outside her gender.........no one else in the WNBA has a unique skill like that at all .....
