of a nomination? I was thinking about Winstead and Goodman's work in 10 Cloverfield Lane recently and I think they really elevate the material despite the fact that the material is already better than average although certainly not perfect. Also of course there's Jackman in Logan.

I could be here all day, so I won't start listing. I'll just say that I'm often more interested in the potentially great performances in "genre" films, than I am in the potentially great performances from your typical "oscar bait". I tend to remember them more anyway.
