The idea of this poll is to take the BP winner of each year and reimagine them with the best director nominees of that year, and ask which director would make the best version of that film. If the BP winner was nominated in directing, that option will not be listed.
So our choices for Braveheart are...
Mike Figgis Chris Noonan Michael Radford Tim Robbins

I have no interest in any of these, so I'll see what others say before casting my vote. I'm leaning towards Noonan because I *really* like Babe, and none of the other directors have ever impressed me. But would he be good for Braveheart? I doubt it.

Michael Radford, only because he has experience in historical costume drama ( The Merchant Of Venice, White Mischief) and things like 1984 suggest he'd be comfortable with the themes and gravitas of Braveheart.
I don't think any of them would make a Braveheart as good as Gibson, but I feel given the kind of films he makes and his skillset, Radford would make the most servicable effort.

Timely ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/6692321/images/MZ2eSp2yC2LljdVTLpdl.gif) None of these options make me excited. Let's give it to Radford. Maybe he'd make something... you know... rad.

I would be fascinated in a grungy 16mm version of Braveheart directed by Figgis.
