Never heard of this before, sounds like it is right up my alley. Gonna see if the library has it. Edit: Nope. Gonna buy it from Amazon and hope for the best The book is honestly incredible, just don’t approach it as a biography.

Luca Marinelli stays winning! I’d heard some very strong buzz about Dag Johan Haugerud’s LOVE before the festival. Glad it’s getting good reactions! Are you going to watch the new Wang Bing? wilcinema

Are you going to watch the new Wang Bing? wilcinemaIt’s the only Competition title that I’ve missed/skipped, mostly because I’d been told that it was the final chapter of the trilogy. I’ll watch the whole trilogy once it’s possibile.

I know everyone's saying The Brutalist is taking the Lion, but this is Isabelle Huppert we're talking about. She's gonna march to the beat of her own drum. (Essentially, expect Joker: Folie a Deux to win.)

I don’t expect it to win either. I’d put my chips on April right now. I found it a beautiful movie but it’s so inherently arthouse that it would generate a chaos of reactions lol

Haven't mapped out full predictions, but I'm feeling Craig, Torres and Dickinson (Mastroianni) take the acting prizes. And yeah, Brutalist for Golden Lion.
