I have no dog in this fight..... but I remember Cotillard battles back then got kinda emotional. I'm jiust wondering.
Huller is a weird industry name. She has some big ass years, but some breaks in between. 2006. 2016. 2023
Cotillard had 2007. And 2012-2014. Then.... ehhh. Most people here have forgotten what she did prior to The Dark Knight Rises tho, it feels like. But I still like her work from 2003-2007. Jeux d'enfants. I remember some teenage girls liked that movie back in the mid-00s. I know she won an Oscar and it's a positively viewed win, but it feels similar to Mirren's win. Not talked about a whole lot even tho still seen as one of the top winners of the decade. I think only Theron, Mirren, and Cotillard are seen as great winners from that decade.

I think Hüller’s work in Toni Erdmann and Anatomy trumps every performance I’ve seen from Cotillard. Still like her though.

Huller's great but Cotillard is a top-shelf generational talent.

Seems like Cotlliard is mostly done with Hollywood/English language films.
Her last two big English language/ Hollywood movies were Allied and Assassins Creed back in 2016 & 2017
Since then, she's almost exclusively done French film and television roles ( except for a supporting role in Lee, which may have been as a favor to Kate Winslet).
