Big Hero 6 gets a score of 65. And now for 2015's Inside OutHow would you rate it from 0.5 to 10?

I'll give it a 9
Interesting that this anomaly exists in a decade that has been underwhelming for animation.
None of the '11-'22 winners feel like animation classics imo except Inside Out. Coco is liked even loved maybe but I never got the impression its preferred over Inside Out by the majority. Miyazaki is liked tho...but that was the most recent win.
91-10...most of the years there was no question who was winning. If the animated category existed for all those years.

7. It's fine but I really found the Bing Bong stuff to be too manipulative -- I could see Pixar's thumb on the scales, knowing they wanted those tears and, consequently, that Oscar.

Pohler and Smith had really endearing chemistry but the Bing Bong stuff drags it down. 7.5

Set piece to set piece to set piece, never slowing down, never thinking or breathing, just keep the audience entertained with flashing lights and shiny new things, don't ever stop, stopping is death, run run run run faster, more shinies, MORE!

6. Inside Out... More like Cop Out, am I right? I sat watching this thing for the longest time thinking I was watching an Ingmar Bergman animated film, and then they're just like 'Nah', and deus ex machina themselves into the ball pit.

It was a great concept and execution. But it felt more like a one-time fascinating watch that I never had much desire for a rewatch or enjoyed too much when catching vignettes on TV, unlike something like Zootopia or even Big Hero 6.
