If you were ever on it from day one that is... or if you ever did do the jump... Mine was the highly acclaimed Winter Soldier... reviews led me to expect a fast-food version of All the President Men. OK... Redford being there added something special to it ngl... and it was going as all of those Marvels go: relatively charming, but not to the point that justifies it's length and what have you... until every dead person turns out to be alive?! or that's how I remember it... Yeah, t'was enough for me. It was Andrew Klaven if I'm not mistaken who once said superhero movies lack sex and death and that's why they're unserious... now I don't demand every one of them to be Watchmen but with Marvels my problems didn't end there... always preferred the X-Men more (cause they tried to "hide" and were constantly in conflicts you dig?) but they shat the bed with Apocalypse too... Mid-2015 I decided to dive into classics and generally spend my leisure time elsewhere.

Iron Man 3 back in 2013. One of the most miserable experiences of my life. Never looked back.

I liked Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk (still an underrated film), but Iron Man 2 and Thor are absolute trash. Captain America: The First Avenger brought things back on track and I like The Avengers, but everything after that has been so hit-and-miss and it all feels so same-y.

I was never a huge fan, but the early ones are alright. I think Civil War is really when it jumped the shark. The whole back half of the movie feels like I'm watching a "Let's play" for some arena fighting game, just jettisons any kind of narrative or characters in favor of rock em' sock em' robots. Not to mention the political perspective that briefly gets laid out in the first act is deeply troubling and I'm surprised it got a pass considering how many pop culture critics make it their job to sniff out anything "problematic" in media and then bitch about it. So I guess you lost interest when Douglas Fairbanks and Buster Keaton left the franchise?

The MCU fans all hate the Hulk movie but I agree, it's one of their best. Really good performance from Norton and feels like a fugitive movie which is how you should approach the Hulk instead of whatever they've been doing with him lately. Feels like a "real movie" made by a director and not just another episode of The MCU Show like so many of the later ones did.

It was more recent for me.Ant Man and The Wasp was the one that dealt the death blow. That was when I realised I was just fully over it.The Marvels just reinforced that opinion.

Never really got on the train! I liked the early ones well enough. Quite solid blockbusters. I guess after the first Avengers film? 12 year old me was way more interested in watching Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy lmao.

I refuse to accept that reality.

I'm definitely not fully off it, but my interest has been all over the place post-Endgame. I'm not all caught up, which would have been crazy to consider even just 5 years ago.

They were always spotty, but I really dug the first Iron Man and first Avengers so I was in for it. Age of Ultron was when I started to fall off a bit, then Thor: Ragnarok I thought was fun but empty and also Taika's worst movie to that point so I fell off further. Then when Infinity War came out I felt the dissonance from all the praise being thrown at it. Saw Endgame like the rest of the world and felt the same way there, and I haven't cared much since. Watched WandaVision since it was COVID and I heard so much about how "different" it was from other MCU stuff only for it to descend right into that formula halfway through so I never bothered with the other shows.
I still might see the movies now and then because of friends and the fact I have AMC Stubs A-List just means I see damn near everything that hits multiplexes anyway, but I don't have any investment or great hopes for them.

never really been on the train but I'm not fully off. The first Marvel movie I thought was good was Winter Soldier which still holds up with quality hand-to-hand action combat (none of this flying around throwing CGI effects at each other) and a fun villain played by Redford. Since then I liked Endgame and kinda liked Black Widow (mostly for the action and Pugh) and Thor Ragnarok, Shang-Chi, the Guardians movies, the Loki series, parts of Black Panther 1 and 2. I'll still watch a Marvel movie if WOM is good but I definitely no longer have FOMO about missing stuff like I did a couple years ago. Never again with those Thor goats

They were always sort of hit and miss for me, but I generally liked them (as in liked more than I disliked) up until Endgame. Since then, I've liked maybe one or two of them, but they've generally descended into truly mediocre, half-assed movies these days.

When I noticed that the MCU shtick was already getting repetitive in phase 2. Thor: The Dark World or whatever the fuck it was called in particular was dreadful. Then after Age of Ultron I had fully jumped off the train and become a devoted hater

I was never a big fan, but I watched almost all of them in theaters with a group of friends starting with Guardians of the Galaxy up until Endgame. Then I went to college… and the new movies started sucking even more… so I haven’t been back to theaters to see one since. I have watched a few at home though… No Way Home and Guardians 3 were fine, and Multiverse of Madness was pretty bad. Have no interest in watching any more, but I’m not vehemently opposed to it either.

Mostly from the Disney+ series. Thor: Love and Thunder had me like 'What the hell?'.

Like some others, I haven’t hopped off the train quite yet, but my interest has definitely been waning since Endgame. Started with the plethora of TV shows, which I’ve only seen a few of. Watching all the shows just started feeling like a chore because it’s been too much to keep up with. Also haven’t bothered to watch Quantumania or The Marvels yet, but I’ll probably get to them eventually.
But like Pittsnogle_Goggins, I’ve just enjoyed the movies for what they are instead of necessarily expecting them to be thoughtfully-crafted, idiosyncratic art, so it doesn’t bug me that they haven’t been that… though I get how someone could watch something like The Dark Knight, see the potential for what these kinds of movies could be, and be disappointed that the MCU has never reached those heights because of complacency with their cookie-cutter house style. I mean yeah, the MCU is formulaic and repetitive, but then again so are a lot of the comics they’re based on… though to be fair there is more genuine creativity and daringness in the specific comic-book stories that the films have adapted. Still, I watch the MCU movies differently than I do other films, the same way I read superhero comics differently than I read novels – my enjoyment comes from focusing on different elements in each “medium” and deemphasizing the elements that would be a “negative” in another storytelling context, so it’s like a separate mode of engagement for me.

I'm definitely not fully off it, What is holding you back, child? Because they've still been making content I enjoy. GOTG 3, Spider-Man: NWH, Loki S2, Shang-Chi, Moon Knight etc. Like I said, it's ups and downs, so until they're all downs, I will remain.
