6. It's competently made and the performances elevate it, although I find it unforgivable and optically fucked up that Mahershala Ali was deemed supporting for a film where he is the obvious co-lead.
That said, I give it a bonus point because I like to imagine Viggo Mortensen as Carmine Lupertazzi.

4 / 10 - Points just for all of the Viggo eating scenes, but I don't know

The two leads elevate it, but it's not a movie that should've even sniffed the Oscars.

It's in my "it all felt so off, I couldn't finish this movie" category

6. This is Hollywood at its absolute insidious best. It's SO stupid, so easy to be outright offended by, its psychology is fucking childish at best, yet it's so slickly made, so sweetly made, and those two guys are SO fucking good together that I find it far too hard to hate. I'm also incapable of disliking anything with Velma in it (I always forget her name, so I just call her Velma).

She got warmth in a Mary Steenburgen kind of way...

8/10. Solid drama with two good lead performances that generated Haterade because it won awards. And Linda Cardellini will always be Lindsay Weir to me. I'm gonna remember her for that, not effing Scooby Doo. 0.5. I irrationally detest this movie. Well at least you're admitting it......

8. Solid movie. Has the fundamentals of craft and narrative missing from pretentious bullshit like Roma.
