Never watched the show, but I read an article earlier today about how Netflix wants to start cancelling more of their original series. So this probably just the start. Hopefully they keep their hands off of the good stuff.

I never watched this show but it is obviously that Netflix needs to be a tad more selective in its shows. The problem is though that they need to chill out and at least give these shows a proper closure. They have carte blanche but who cares if they continue to make bonehead decisions. $120mil for one season of "The Getdown". Did that make sense to anyone?

Interesting that Netflix is jumping on the cancel train, too. I barely got through the first season, but I know it has a lot of fans. Hopefully the ending will provide some closure.

At the very LEAST, they could've given the fans a one off movie to tie things up. I get that the budget for it was insane but it had a huge internet fan base and following. Just cutting it off at the end of season 2, which was a cliff hanger, just stings. It was such a beautiful show, the fans deserve proper closure on the characters.

Yeah, I wasn't surprised at all when the show got cancelled just because of the massive budget. I know in the industry you gotta take a gamble sometimes, but that was just stupid.
