Didn't realise Al Pacino was so booked and busy with all these projects. This one sounds pretty interesting. Based on true events when Fidel Castro went to give a speech to the United Nations in 1960. and there's some assassination shenanigans going on.
Co-starring Blue Beetle and Cobra Kai star Xolo Mariduena.
Directed by someone called Eif Rivera. Seems to be a veteran jobbing TV and music video director . Done a lot of videos for DJ Khaled and lots of TV episodes. Looks like this is his first feature film. Interesting to see Pacino working with these first time feature directors and journeymen.

I've always thought that Armando Iannucci should write/direct a movie about the CIA's hapless numerous attempts to whack the Beard.

I've always thought that Armando Iannucci should write/direct a movie about the CIA's hapless numerous attempts to whack the Beard. Unfortunately Armando Ianucci is not writing or directing this project, so we have no idea how it'll turn out despite the premise sounding promising. Fingers crossed this project works, even with a non-auteur, TV/music director and first time feature maker at the helm. This could be quite good or really fucking awful. There's no way of knowing with this director and team behind him.

Looks like Diego Boneta is playing Castro in this. Assumed it was Xolo because his ethnicity would fit Castro, but he did read a bit too young for the bearded revolutionary version of Castro.
