Or the unexpected virtue of blah blah blah.*while we're at it, is Bardo any good? [ PR].

used to love it then soured a bit later on the screenplay. I'll compromise with an 8
Bardo was Inarritu disappearing up his own ass even more than usual. Gorgeous cinematography though, and I loved Caballero's detailed and lived-in sets.

Haven't seen it since 2014; and I watched it a bunch of times back then... a 7 for now.

9/10. Would have been better if Wes Anderson made it but still perfectly acceptable.

9/10. Would have been better if Wes Anderson made it but still perfectly acceptable. Wes has a peculiar touch to the jokes he makes and the way he fleshes out the inner state of each character that even he doesn't pull off every time... re-watching bits of Birdman reminded me how balatant and unclassy Inarritu's vision is.* (*after re-watchig the clip in OP: or this story just takes place in NYC ).

One of the best winners and ensembles. The fact that Keaton lost the Oscar to Redmayne that year is kinda inexcusable.

I'm done counting but pacinoyes what are your thoughts? Walks a line between being self-impressed, annoying and witty and sharp and ultimately comes down on the right side of that line.......in several ways kind of miraculous that it pulls it off 8 / 10
