Vote to swap out the film you think The Boy and the Heron's score should've replaced, you can also vote Keep the Five, if you prefer all five nominated scores.

American Fiction is the one where I thought the score was good but nothing special and not entirely essential to supporting the film. Indy feels like an easy out, but Williams is half of what makes any bit of that film work despite the best efforts of its hodgepodge script and some career-worst direction from Mangold.

Outside of Poor Things and Oppy this lineup is sooo bad. They had so many better options. I'll go Indy because that movie had no business being nominated for anything, but Robertson's meandering ambient guitar-plucking for KotFM is practically invisible. 206 minutes and not a minute of memorable score beyond the first few minutes.

These are all pretty good scores. Karpman and Williams out, Levi and Hisaishi in. It would then be the best lineup for this category in… decades?
