Well that was sad ..........tough break but I'll say this - that is why "Nadal missed a lot of tournaments due to injury!" is fncking bullshit and not the same as Australia / the US kept a healthy Djokovic out of 2 tournaments  Quite possibly could win the calendar Grand Slam this year .........if he doesn't Chokeovich in final on Sunday.....  |

Queen Iga - ........that's 4 Slams......already surpassing previous #1 / now retired Ash Barty's 3 ....that's 3 French ---she's the Queen and the Queen of Clay Seeing you go gaga over a hardcore Nadal fangirl is funny. Anyway, very dramatic final. Glad Iga had to work for one at last, but boy is she not good under pressure. Hope Muchova has more finals in her future after putting on back to back classics. Not quite as good as the Aussie Open final, but having two epic finals in as many majors is great for the womens game, hope it carries over to the grass. |

Stakes is high in less than 2 hours - so don't Chokeovic  : * The all-time men's slam record @ 23 - he already has this in a tie but across more surfaces anyway and now it would be his alone * The 3x Career Grand Slam - a huge record if he does it - which will likely be his last chance to do it too maybe . He has it already with 2x a record in a tie but this would also be his alone also * The world number one ranking whch will likely get to 400 weeks - extending his own record - if he can reclaim it today * A chance for a calendar year Grand Slam in 2023 at age 36 * A real middle finger to those "you should have got the shot!" wackjobs ....you know who you - don't make me quote your posts

Casper Ruud played much better than in last year's final, but, as expected, once Djokovic decided to start playing seriously (at the end of the first set), the match was over. 23rd Grand Slam for the GOAT. He will probably make them 24 next month, since I don't see anyone giving him a hard time on grass. .jpg) |
