Nolan even won here At the moment, I am thinking Oppenheimer wins Picture, Director, and Film Editing. Is that your early view? I am thinking American Fiction wins Adapted.

Cooper is the obvious next Best Actor winner. Glad to see agree. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Awardsdaily has Cord winning best director too. We need receipts showing Nolan won among people who identify as black.

Um, having seen MAESTRO, I would have to say...NO, Cooper is most definitely NOT the "obvious" next Best Actor winner. He's definitely the frontrunner at this point, but that performance will almost certainly be divisive and too mannered/artificial for many. And that's coming from someone who thinks he was 100% ROBBED for ASIB, and that was a truly great performance. He has some strong moments in MAESTRO, but overall, it's trying too hard and Oscar-baity to its core. Both his performance and the movie. I could easily see Murphy and maybe even Giamatti get it over him.

What bothers me about Cooper winning is how "preordained" it seems - he was "transformational" on paper so give him the Oscar .......nobody much likes this movie ........his performance while decent is not undeniable .........at all.........Murphy ftw
