Tomorrow the Critics Choice Association will announce their 29th annual awards. Who do you think is going to get nominated? Are we going to see The Color Purple in the best picture category? Will we see Anatomy of a Fall, Fallen Leaves, and The Zone of Interest show up in picture, director, acting, or screenplay categories?
Yesterday we saw Barbie lead the pack with 9 Golden Globe nominations. Oppenheimer had 8 nominations. Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things scored 7 nominations. Past Lives got 5 nominations. All five films scored acting, directing, and screenplay nominations. Anatomy of a Fall received nominations for Drama, International Feature, Actress, and Screenplay. Maestro got nominated for Drama, Director, Actor, and Actress. Will these films show up big tomorrow on the Critics Choice nominations list?
Just like the Globes, there should be 6 nominations per category. Sometimes they go over, if there's a tiebreaker. We might see 7 Best Actor nominations and 11 Best Picture nominees.

I’d love this to be the Oscar lineup sans Wish

These are just predictions. I have no respect for this group. That’s why I didn’t bother with predicting them.
Director going to 6 nominees is an improvement though

Idk who's still sponsoring this organisation. This award should've been cancelled long ago.

Is Peaches actually happening???? All I can think of is the line: "He likes to call me "Peaches" when we get this nasty" from the Beyoncé song "Partition".

I liked Barbie, but was it really that great? TCP got a BP nod, but I am sure if it has that strong of support.

they never fail to disappoint. I don't know how their TV awards are so left-field when their movie noms are just basic & safe Oscar predictions. These are so boring.

Giving Tar best original score last year is all you ever need to say about this group.

Bening couldn't even make it at Pundit's Choice Neither did Natalie Portman.
Foster is the standout for Nyad. She has the more emotional moments.
