My cat has been healthy his whole life, pretty much. He's around 13 now, and he was overdue for his rabies shots, so I took him to a vet yesterday to get them. He was fine all day, but I'm told that last night he slept at my mother's feet (not unusual) and didn't move when she inevitably kicked him a few times during the night while she adjusted herself (quite unusual).
Today, he hasn't drank, he hasn't gone to the litter box, and he only grudgingly ate some treats around an hour ago (he sniffed and licked his lips and seemed to want to eat them, but he took around ten seconds before trying them. He seemed happy to get more when I offered). He is heavily favoring his back left leg (where he got the shot), can't jump, is spending all of his time curled on blankets if he can get comfortable, isn't vocalizing (not extremely unusual, but complete silence isn't really his thing), and hid in a corner of a closet that is very hard to get to (some old boxes block the way for anything larger than him. He still purrs, he still seems to enjoy petting, but I've honestly never seen him like this (this behavior isn't entirely unlike when another cat I loved died). I'm very worried and wondering if I should call off work tomorrow to take him to a doctor.
If anyone is familiar with rabies shots side effects like this, help would be appreciated.

Immediate observations from Google says that these are fairly normal and I'm overreacting. It should go away in a day or two. Still, I've never had this happen and it's freaking me out.

Have a neighbor whose cat did this sort of thing a couple years ago. That cat was also on the older side (11-12?) and the owners were initially worried, but they waited a couple days before calling a vet and it was alright. I'd suggest that if you see anything that escalates your concerns tomorrow then you should call a vet to be on the safe side.

I think it's best to go to the vet just to check if everything is fine. I don't have a cat but whenever my dog acts a bit odd I take him to the vet just to make sure everything is ok
