Remember the movie The Blind Side? It was about an offensive linemen who got adopted by a rich family. It turns out he was never adopted in the first place and the family got him into a conservatorship. Michael Oher aka Mr. Blind Side says the Tuohys still have control over his finances and not giving him a share of the film revenue. The Tuohy family claims his charges are false. Who do you believe?

He claimed he didn't know it was a conservatorship until early this year. But in his book released over 12 years ago, he talks about his conservatorship.

I dunno man, I just read an article that called the movie "The worst white savior movie ever" because you know - they haven't seen enough movies I guess....... and America is a systemically racist country (is it though? Hmmmmmm) that this poor black man was hoodwinked in front of all our eyes FOR YEARS - hmmmmmmm, but I appreciate the white panelists at ESPN giving their expert POV on truth and what not...........because I find that bullshit..... .comforting in how they look like me but - interestingly - in how they TOLD me what the family said instead of showing it ....... In all, he started 110 games over eight seasons with Baltimore, the Tennessee Titans and the Carolina Panthers, and earned over $34 million, according to Spotrac, a website that tracks sports contracts. Oher last played in the NFL in the 2016 season - CNNHere's what the white devils say - shockingly on Regressive Left TV station NBC - a network that employs Joy Reid ffs - for once doing their job .....go figure!.......also the lawyer makes a clear statement - He got EVERY dime he had coming - I mean if he didn't .....that should take 5 seconds to prove........5 seconds.......in the words of the great band Television .......well you know:

I've long said that The Social Network suffers from being only the beginning of a far more fucked-up and sordid story, and that Fincher and Co. really need to do a follow-up soon. But now I think The Blind Side would also avail itself very nicely to a similar takedown. Imagine Fincher getting with Bullock and basically making a movie about the grift, with Bullock still playing Tuohy throughout it all, and then suddenly it refocuses the original film as the con job that it is.

He found out in 2023, he was in a conservatorship. Wait, what? Question for our non US friends. Does your country have a conservatorship system or is this an American thing?

There are different degrees of conservatorship in Italy, basically depending on how the person is able to take decisions for himself. It's quite common for people who suffer from Alzheimer for instance, but even for people with an addiction. For example, someone who has gambling issues can have a supporting administrator who prevents him from wasting his money.

Jason Whitlock going full bore against Michael Oher on his podcast - if anything Oher says is actually true well Whitlock will look really bad......I don't think he will though, I think he's right and right about race, cynicism, exploitation.....just watch 5 minutes at any point in this and you'll get the gist.......particularly the first 5 actually
Side note: This podcast is worth more than the "reporting" ESPN did or has done in a long time......just sayin'

The production company chimes in: As a result, the notion that the Tuohys were paid millions of dollars by Alcon to the detriment of Michael Oher is false. In fact, Alcon has paid approximately $767,000 to the talent agency that represents the Tuohy family and Michael Oher (who, presumably, took commission before passing it through). We anticipate that the Tuohy family and Michael Oher will receive additional profits as audiences continue to enjoy this true story in the years to come. In addition to these contractual payments, Alcon made a charitable contribution to the Tuohy family foundation. We offered to donate an equal amount to a charity of Mr. Oher's choosing, which he declined. www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/alcon-co-founders-and-co-ceos-state-the-blind-side-is-as-true-today-as-it-was-14-years-ago-301909568.html

Thank you for the update. I don't think Oher's story lines up with reality.

"so the tuohy family admits they never had any intention of adopting oher. they sound fucking awful"
Not really - to me Oher sounds desperate rather - what is Oher saying anyway that they called him "son" or some bullshit so they hoodwinked him? That's quite a stretch - that might fly on Twitter among gossip hens but I would be shocked if it mattered at all in court:
When you admit it in a book - as an adult - that you knew what was up - you can't then act like you didn't know: from his 1st book, below. He delineates between adoption and conservatorship........basically they will just quote his book the whole trial.....Jason Whitlock nailed this story - and Oher's motives too btw - (posted above)......
Tuohy's say they're not settling the case anyway btw so......court it is.......
“Honestly, I didn't care what it was called. I was just happy that no one could argue that we weren't legally what we already knew was real: We were a family.” Oher described how he and the Tuohys brought his mother to the hearing so she could give her consent to the new arrangement.

from the admittedly small amount that i’ve read about the situation and based on what other people have said, his understanding of conservatorship was/is wrong. and words like guardianship are used which makes sense why he could mistaken it for adoption and was mislead. him being aware of conservatorship doesn’t mean he was aware of what it actually meant. this full passage from the book below supports the argument of how he was manipulated and didn’t understand what conservatorship was.
“They explained to me that it means pretty much the exact same thing as 'adoptive parents,' but that the laws were just written in a way that took my age into account. Honestly, I didn't care what it was called. I was just happy that no one could argue that we weren't legally what we already knew was real: We were a family.“
this is a good video talking about points made from both sides. again, i don’t know too much about this story (never even watched the blind side) so i haven’t been too invested in it and might be missing something, but hearing these points, i get the feeling that tuohys were knowingly misleading. lots to still come out though, so i could he wrong. we’ll have to wait and see.

Not a big fan of McWhorter, but every once in a while he makes a good point, and he's NOWHERE NEAR the scumbag sellout racism-apologist level of the other 3 pieces of shit I mentioned. Also, he's not a disingenuous bad faith shock jock FRAUD, so you can at least have a reasonable intelligent debate with someone like him. Don't get me fucking started on Thomas Sowell though...UGH! He's like if Cornel West got sucked into The Black Lodge, and Sowell is his evil doppelganger that came out.

Nope, nice try. The term came about when white woman Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote Uncle Tom’s Cabin Besides nowadays it almost always comes off as racially charged and utterly condescending when a non-black calls a black person an Uncle Tom. Like they’re trying to put black people back in their place after expressing the wrong opinion. You don’t get to say it if you ain’t black. So many black people do not appreciate it when white people/other non-blacks use the term

Especially the smarter progressive ones who know the world would be a better place if race-traitors like Whitlock and Owens had never been born. Plus, you're not black, so you can just save it with pretending you're offended on behalf of black people. Have you ever heard the black contingency of Woke Twitter triggered over someone calling a black Trumptard Uncle Tom? NOPE, and those snowflakes are outraged by EVERYTHING. It's not offensive except to the deplorable self-loathing bottom feeders it refers to.
