Which slasher film do you prefer?

Gotta be Scream. Halloween's great, but Scream is one of my very favourite horror movies.

Halloween is scarier, Scream is more entertaining. I'll go with Scream but both are two of my favourite slasher films ever.

They're both wonderful in their own way. One in less cool and easy to take for granted fashion sort of established the standard on a major level, while the other reinvented, and redefined things when they had become done to death.
I would give the slightest of edges to Halloween on account of the score, Pleasence, and Michael Myers, who for me is the greatest of all the slashers. Scream is great, but a little bit too reliant on its cleverness, and its twists to work in as pure a way.

Love them both, but Halloween is the uncontested greatest slasher ever made
