Pat Sajak has officially retired from Wheel of Fortune. The show has been around since the Gerald Ford administration and when Harold Wilson was Prime Minister of England. Now Ryan Seacrest has taken over hosting duties. What do you guys think? I think it is a boring and safe choice, which I think was the point.

Vanna White is 66 ......basically the only part of that show worth watching is when she walks out at the start because she is aging like fine wine ......no one cares about the male host of that show ........I would have preferred Maggie Sajak who is Pat's daughter and also sexy - I celebrity crushed her once........I mean basically the show is Hangman so you have to make it sexy because Hangman is dull..........they should do it nude tbh......or strip Hangman........that would be good.......maybe Suicide Hangman although that may not pass the censors   |

Yes, Seacreast worn out about 20 years ago.
I agree with pacinoyes, keep it in the family. Have Maggie Sajak replace Pat - and have it double female host.
I honestly feel Sajak will leave a bigger void than Trebek would. Because I really don't feel Jeopardy is any different without him, although it's only fun to watch when it's the Masters Tournament.

It’s just such a dull, uninspired choice Lets look at this way: Seacrest seems to be the go-to guy for replacing the old legend. We saw that with Dick Clark and then Regis Philbin. You can add Pat Sajak to that list. I think that's why it is seen as vanilla. Of course, they would pick Seacrest. He was such an obvious choice. I don't think the show needs "rocky road" or "black cherry" ice cream. They need somebody safe and somebody who doesn't distract the audience from the puzzles and the game show contestants.
Stephen made the point above: Sajak was boring too. Very vanilla. It worked for the last 40 or so years. I just look at the nonsense surrounding Jeopardy and how they struggled to find one host, and ended up picking one male and one female.

Yeah, shame that Maggie Sajak isn't doing it. She's hot and might have actually gotten me to watch the show more before my daily Jeopardy ritual...

Does anybody else think it's a little racist to call Seacrest "vanilla" though? How should we refer to Seacrest's dull, even more vanilla but also you know less vanilla equivalent - Steve Harvey? Jeopardy has always been where it's at anyways. Wheel of Fortune is too slow and everyone figures out the word puzzles way faster than me. Trivia is more interactive
