Hope you're not as nasty as Miss Dunham here. Oh honey, you know me, I'm a lovely person. I could never be as nasty as that stupid fat cow!

I watched the film for the first time not long ago and it is so bad. Despite having a great cast and being shot in such a gorgeous location the film was terrible a chore to watch, and I quite like Abba's music.
I really don't know why they are bothering with a sequel after all this time.

I'm just wondering why it took so long. The film did make over 600 million.

I really don't know why they are bothering with a sequel after all this time. It was huge hit. In fact Mamma Mia inexplicably held the title of highest grossing film of all time in the U.K. until Avatar came out. However they waited way too long to make a sequel, so I doubt as many people will care.

Yet another delayed sequel to an older movie.
After a recent rewatch since ages, I still found this movie a bit fun albeit hammy and all over the place in terms of execution.
But here's a thing.... when do sequels of movies based on stage musicals ever turn out well? The ones in the past like Grease 2, Shock Treatment, and Annie 2 comes to mind.
I bet this story would focus around the 'next generation' that are going through their own wedding drama and family mysteries.

Why the fuck does that gif exist. Seriously. That was worse than Mamma Mia getting a sequel.

This is great news for fans of the original film, which were clearly plentiful. I hope it's a giant ass success again and a third installment, maybe even fourth comes too pass. I personally won't see any of them, as the original was so dire; but with the multitude of sequels, reboots and film series on the market now, I hardly think this one is such a crime.

I totally read this as "MAMMA MIA ! is getting a seagull"... I hate allergy season. Also, not always a fun thing to have THREE puking Lena Dunhams on my screen at the same time.

I didn't see the first one.. & I'm not intending to watch it in this life at least! So, I don't care about its sequel or anything related to it! Nothing personal though..
