Romy Schneider, Jean Seberg, Natalie Wood...
It's quite eerie to thing that these three iconic beauties were all born in the same year. They all died within a few years of each other, too (1979-1982).
Please, share your thoughts on them as actresses, as cultural icons. Do you love all three of them?

Some gorgeous shots of Jean Seberg... I'm really obsessing over her lately - so underrated as an actress, IMO.

Romy Schneider I fell in love with in large part thanks to you - I hadn't seen much from her prior. The Schneider-Sautet cycle is magical, and there's still a lot I haven't seen... she's also a superb presence in Ludwig, La Piscine, etc.
Natalie Wood was very funny in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice - that's the side of hers I like the most.
Seberg seems lovely, but other than Breathless, I don't think I've seen her in anything.

Yes, I do love all of them .........but as an actress Schneider is quite unique - her performance in Garde à Vue is really heartbreaking in a small but pivotal role.....I just rewatched that and mentioned how essentially she grounds the film in what is essentially 1 scene......complex stuff - that line is unforgettable "he taked to her (a child) like he would a woman" I've talked about this before but Seberg is distinctly an American story - found in a casting call - then rejected by Americans so she has to go to Europe to make it (unforgettably) - where she is promptly destroyed by America again - for a 2nd time: That story is the story of a whole lot of US artists - actors, painters, poets, musicians - but it's tied into the story of America in deeper ways - where failure is our national joke and the sad truth of our artless culture...... and Seberg was tangled up in both of those....love her in Lilith ....underrated movie.....

Wood & Schneider are absolutely legendary. I need to see more of Seberg's work, though.
