Went to see the Complicité production of this last night at The Lowry in Manchester. An adaptation of a book I've yet to read, and am now desperate to.
Phenomenal production all-round, utilising visual and auditory effects in a way I've never seen done on stage before. The central plot/themes (an eco-thriller/murder mystery/activist story) can get heavy-handed, but I appreciated that this was a play that did nothing by halves. Also my first real introduction to Kathryn Hunter (other than her Harry Potter cameo), and she was a wonder to behold, truly carrying the entire piece. She never leaves the stage, and almost never stops moving and talking - you can't take your eyes off her, and you don't want to. I gotta watch that Macbeth film asap.
It's finished its UK tour now, and moving onto a few other countries in Europe. See it if you can.

Kathryn Hunter, you say? I have to see this somehow.
And yeah, man -- if you've not seen her bewitching performance in The Tragedy of Macbeth, you owe it to yourself to do so. By rights, Hunter should be blowing up like Mark Rylance now.
