I think you need to move The Zone of Interest from 'no distributor' to A24. I thought I fixed that!

Netflix just bagged May December out of Cannes. Annette Bening must be seething. Yes and Carey Mulligan too I assume. I was predicted Mulligan, Bening and Portman to all make it (yes, I know it's May) but no way in hell will that happen when they're all under Netflix's wing. Bening gets the biggest blow I think.

I don't even think Portman is a given to be nominated (Haynes misses as much as he hits with the Academy), but I haven't had a whole lot of faith in Nyad since they announced it.

Yeah, I haven't been predicting Bening at all. Can easily see Portman and Mulligan both making it.

Didn't Dern win under Netflix? What's your point? I thought you were emphasizing, if someone is under Netflix, they do not have chances of being nominated for an Oscar. Sorries.

Added Robert Downey, Jr. to the contenders list. I'm debating throwing Damon in there as well.

Took Drive-Away Dolls off the board as it's going to 2024, and added America Ferrera as a possible supporting player for Barbie.

I don't know why I had Chau in for Asteroid City, lol. Also don't know why I didn't have Da'Vine Joy Randolph in, so I swapped them.
I'm tentatively waiting to see if Dream Scenario gets a 2023 release date. Also close to removing TBDs like The Brutalist, The Way of the Wind and most of the other non-distributors, but I'll wait a little while longer.

Searchlight just announced Andrew Haigh's All of Us Strangers getting released on December 22, 2023. This could be a major one, especially if Mescal goes supporting.

Based on the new summary for The Bikeriders, I bumped Comer to lead and Hardy to supporting.
Also, Best Supporting Actor is starting to look very interesting.

What about Messina and Howerton for supporting actor? I was reticent about putting Blackberry in the mix considering it's IFC, but I guess Howerton is a player for a Spirit award and could surprise with the critics, so I put him in. Messina, I figured his ceiling would be a possible Ensemble nod at SAG if the year proves weak.

Finally removed The Brutalist from the lists. Also had Plemons in lead still, so docked him to supporting. Also I highlighted a few contenders in orange as there are rumblings they are indeed being bumped to 2024. I don't know if that was due to the strikes and whether that might change if AMPTP and the unions come to an agreement, but for now they're highlighted.
