Hmmmmmm - arent they straight? What about representation ?!? .........Nah, j /k I don't care .........yet another West End movie-ish production that could transfer to Broadway if well received A stage adaptation of Brokeback Mountain will come to the West End this spring, starring Mike Faist and Lucas Hedges.
The adaptation, which calls itself “a new play with music,” is based on Annie Proulx’s short story, which was later adapted into the 2005 film. The stage version was written by Ashley Robinson and features direction by Jonathan Butterell and songs by Dan Gillespie Sells.
The show will make its world premiere at London’s Soho Place and run from May 10 through August 12.www.hollywoodreporter.com/lifestyle/arts/mike-faist-lucas-hedges-brokeback-mountain-stage-adaptation-1235356803/

Oh no! Did all the actual bis and gays sleep in when this theatre production was casting? Unless they are both DL bi/gay, which would be appropriate casting (perhaps known only to themselves), then this casting was done just to make headlines, because otherwise, IDK if anyone would care or notice (as much) that this was even being made in the first place.

with those babyfaces, it looks like a college production Ledger and Gyllenhaal would have been about 25/24 when the movie released. Meanwhile these theatre kids are 31 and 26. I thought Lucas Hedges was 20, but then I forgot Manch/Sea released 7 years ago.
