O'Toole for me. I actually nominate him. Bana was very good as well. But the rest of the cast really disappointed me. I particularly feel it's some of the worst work of both Brian Cox and Brendan Gleeson's careers, both of whom are generally the best in whatever films they find themselves in.

Bana and O'Toole operate on a whole other level to anybody else. O'Toole has the baitier/showier role/scene, so I might give the edge to Bananaman for the impact he makes. Hector is one of the great, great tragic characters, all you have to do is not screw him up, and Bana did not screw him up.

Bana and O'Toole are far superior to the rest of the cast. I'll go with Bana, whom I actually nominated that year as supporting actor.

Bana. Bloom however was by far most memorable because of how terrible he was

Basically echoing the people here with a Bana vote and a runner-up for O'Toole.

If they hadn't tossed up Yared's score & replaced it with a hastily togther Horner score full of Hornerisms I would have said him, but since this is about actors, I'm gonna go with O'Toole, very good performance, even if he's kind of "wasted".
