Okay, so Coop suggested that we just all pick whatever we want, I think that works this late in the game, how about the following idea:
We only do top 8 categories and have one free for all category.
pick 10 pictures
7 actor, actress, s. actor, s. actress, o. screenplay, a. screenplay, director
then pick 5 free for all. you pick whatever you want but in this category your pick has to win. Example, say you pick Babylon for costumes. We all know it could score 20 nods but how many of those will it win? So you only get points when it wins.
As for tiebreaker, I say we base it on ranking. We rank all categories and then break the tie on the top 8 on the ranking and we use the guilds as our guide for top 8 group only. So that means that PGA, SAG, WGA, DGA and OSCARS will break the ties.
