Ant-Man (2015) -- This movie pretty much epitomizes my problems with the MCU. It is mass produced, by the numbers, 100% predictable formula. Fight scenes happen like clockwork with no bearing on the plot, the subplot about Scott trying to connect with his daughter was tossed in just as often to show that he's a "good guy" despite having no bearing on the plot, the villain is a flat joke of a character. The whole thing is so devoid of personality. It isn't a terrible movie; like so many others that feel like rehashes, it was unoriginal to the point that I couldn't be cared to hate it. 5/10
Dont Look Back (1967) -- This is D.A. Pennebaker, so I was expecting the uninformative mess that I wound up getting. The question was if it could work as an experience, and it sorta does. I don't really like the music, but the personal stuff with Dylan discussing his work with fans and reporters was fairly interesting. He came off as an unprofessional, whiny, self-important asshole, but at least it was something different from the monotony of the music. 6/10
And I've gotten 4/5 of the way through O.J.: Made in America. Thoughts will be posted next week.
