Viced did it with the 2010s (albeit in a 65-spots format) and now I'd like to continue his legacy by moving on to the mighty 2000s and expanding the list to a full 100. You know the rules and so do I: just send me a ranked list of your 25 favorite performances of the 2000s via PM. It's as simple as that, my friends. Leading or supporting, male or female, subtle or hammy - vote for any piece of screen acting you consider magical. If you can't come up with 25 names, feel free to send me a list with fewer positions. I only have one request - let's keep it all in the movie realms. In other words, no performances from TV series. I am willing to accept votes for performances from TV or Video movies though, as well as voice-only performances. But no series. As for the deadline, I don't think it should take all of you too long to come up with your lists (since we're all fairly well versed in the cinema of the 2000-2009 period) so I think October 23 can work as a pretty decent date. If any eligibility questions arise, I think we should stick with first theatrical release dates. But I'm open to discussing this stuff on a case-to-case basis. NB: if you want to do little (or big) write-ups about your favorite performances, I'll be happy to include them in the presentation ( if those performances end up in the 100 ). Just PM me the reviews with your lists or some time later. Not sure what else to add except for HAPPY VOTING

2 that won't make the list but not only should ......they should be near the top actually...

Some performances I think will be overlooked and shouldn't be: Jamie Bell, Billy ElliotRussell Crowe, Master and Commander: the Far Side of the World (I don't think Bettany would be overlooked, but Crowe is very underrated in this film) Philip Seymour Hoffman, The SavagesSharlto Copley, District 9Nora-Jane Noone, The Magdalene SistersJulie Delpy, Before Sunset (best in the series) Julia Jentsch, Sophie Scholl: the Final DaysHelen Mirren, The Queen (I know she won all the awards under the sun for this but I feel like this isn't nearly as loved these days, which it should be) Laura Linney, The Savages (I couldn't even find a gif) Anamaria Marinca, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 DaysGolshifteh Farahani, About EllyJonathan Chang, Yi Yi (miraculous child performance. There's a reason why most iconic images of this film always have him in it) Michael Sheen, The Queen (Proof that you don't need to impersonate to convince) Vlad Ivanov, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 DaysEddie Marsan, Happy-Go-Lucky (I don't think Hawkins would be overlooked, but he would) Guillermo Francella, The Secret in Your Eyes (Several worthy supporting actors in this masterpiece btw) Julie Walters, Billy Elliot (for some reason this icon is largely forgotten, I could barely find a proper gif. Best movie teacher ever) Helen Mirren, Gosford Park (Maggie Smith is great and all, but Helen Mirren is the MVP with a bullet in this ensemble) Geraldine McEwan, The Magdalene Sisters (I have no idea why she wasn't nominated for anything. She's chilling to the bone in this movie) Sarah Bolger, In AmericaEmily Watson, The Proposition (I don't think she'd be overlooked but just in case) Kelly MacDonald, No Country for Old Men (Bardem obviously wouldn't be overlooked, but she would be)
