Absolute clown that can barely string a sentence together let alone govern 4 nations in which only 170k voted for her as part of a union of 67 million. Maybe she won't be as corrupt as Boris was but she'll definitely be more incompetent, which is arguably just as dangerous when we're in the middle of a cost of living crisis. She's publicly voiced support for banning trade unions, said British workers are lazy, indulges in phoney culture war bullshit, wants tax cuts for the rich to appeal to the Tory base, stated the First Minister of Scotland should be ignored and will do everything in her power to veto a second Scottish independence referendum. She used to be Lib Dem, then switched to Conservative, was pro-Remain and has rebranded as a staunch Brexiteer. Everything she says and does can't be trusted because she swings whatever way the wind blows. I fear what the future holds for this country.

It's completely nonsensical to blame this on "only 170k voted for her". The UK has a parliamentary system. The public vote for the PARTY, not individuals, and Tories won the last election (a landslide win, I should add), so they are allowed to decide who the new PM is within the party without extenuating circumstances like a successful vote of no confidence, which never happened. Whether you like her or not, her mandate is 100% legitimate. If you want to blame anyone, blame the voters who voted for the Tories in the last election.

The public vote for the PARTY, not individuals, and Tories won the last election (a landslide win, I should add), so they are allowed to decide who the new PM is within the party Thank you for this - this was helpful to me to understand the nuance in the US - ^ Btw not relevant to this thread - but this kind of "partial agenda driven reasoning" happens all the time in the US - and it's maddening on both sides of the aisle Republican and Democrat. For example on the Left people say "the people support abortion!" - which is true - but 71% of those same people want restrictions after just 3 months......now I don't feel that way - but it's pretty disingenuous to quote just the first part of that statistic and not the 2nd part like the issue is that simple......and your "side" is that overwhelming in the majority. This happens constantly in the US in discussions about polls and votes and is exploited by pollsters (which is partially something done in my job which is statistical analysis)......the simple stating of a partial fact like it's therefore a universal truth by merely stating it - is more depressing when people quote things that are purposely slanted to mislead - ie "the American public supports Bernie Sanders initiatives - there was a poll!" - which of course, they do not, or else Bernie Sanders would be president ( God Forbid - that's for our Canadian MAR member - who did a parody of my posts once .........which was pretty witty .........but only because he was parodying me and I am witty ...... ) Anyhoo ....

That was more so to underline the hypocrisy of her wanting to veto a second Scottish independence referendum. Half of Brits currently favour a new general election too and have wanted as such since Partygate.

I don't think the ghouls in charge understand how volatile the state of the union is currently. Truss appointed Jacob Rees-Mogg, noted climate change denier who moved his business to Ireland, to Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.....during an energy crisis, and made Suella Braverman, who makes Priti Patel look a moderate by wanting to scrap the European Convention on Human Rights, the new Home Secretary. They're appealing to the absolute fringe of the party now at a time in which, more than ever, it's looking likely the breakup could be coming if things continue.

Oh honeys, I think the political puppet version is more child friendly. They should have gone with that... Weren't the English going for a Ricky Martin lookalike like the Spanish? I think the subliminal 'Livin the Vida Loca' is more apt for the times we are living in... I really should audition more for these political roles... she looks like she wouldn't stand out in a chorus line. Bet she can't get her legs over her head...
