Is there anything you enjoy collecting - stamps, baseball cards, rare coins, etc.? I have a small collection of Steiff teddy bears - I fell in love with them on a trip to Germany a few years ago (they're everywhere there!) - in addition to bears, I also have a giraffe and an elephant. What about you?

When I was like 12, I used to have a collection of Christopher Walken pins. The only thing now I consistently collect are books, I guess......I never throw any away and if I come across different editions of books I like, I'll get em (Nightwood, Three Wogs, some Willeford, books on Welles, King Dork - ok, same ed for that, I just have two!). I wish I collected Coffee Mugs. I'd like to bring a mug back from wherever I travel but I don't travel often enough!

Growing up I had coin collections, rocks/minerals collection, and even a movie ticket collection. Today I really focus on collecting just books or DVDs/BluRays. I had (have I guess) a small collection of classic monster stuff from my childhood as well, but its a combination of slim pickings and not enough space.

Oh, wow, I definitely should have mentioned my obsession with coffee table books... I'm running out of room at this point. My latest acquisition: The gorgeous photographs of these stunning, bucolic estates bring me so much peace and joy.

Books / DVDs / Music physcal media - people may think these are too small tbh - but if I do say so myself perfect(ly) (pacinoyes-y). I bought a pristine vinyl "special edition" copy of The Pandoras Stop Pretending recently and that was a real find........and when I placed that within my collection I had tears in my eyes........but maybe because I had just chopped some onions......it was an event though........same with Dead Man's Pop When I was younger I collected Pez dispensers.......still got 'em too but haven't added to them since 1864 ......they keep an eye on this stuff ^ actually ....

I never give away my books or DVDs either...actually I never throw away anything. I still have some of my high school times clothes (and despite gaining more than 30 kilos some still fit...the 80s fashion was oversized).

The tears of my enemies.
Aside from DVDs, CDs, and books, I save just about all my movie and concert tickets. I've also started growing a collection of film posters and movie T-shirts. When I was younger, I had a pretty large collection of superhero action figures that my brother sort of inherited.
During the height of the pandemic, I built up a pretty epic collection of take-out ketchup and soy sauce packets...

Bookmarks. I have hundreds of them, and I insist on buying some as a souvenir everytime I travel to a distant city or a foreign country.

As anybody who reads my posts can tell you - I pretty much lose my shit over the band The Speedways - and I'm not just talking all their albums / EP - which were all purchased - not just downloaded or stolen - and I'm cheap ffs and with a not THAT big physical music collection.........but I've also bought some T-shirts of theirs too....... and I bought this entire collection of their vaguely sexist and objectifying (um) - and copyright infringing certainly - "blonde button collection" of Marilyn Monroe, Diana Dors, Jayne Mansfield, Brigitte Bardot, and Gillian Hills (of Beat Girl fame)My girlfiend alternates these on her purse and I'm saying things like " hey - stop using MY buttons........ or I'll have to buy them again"

Oh honeys, I recently added Goodbye Things by Fumio Sasaki to my growing mountain of books, as I'm flirting with minimalism... I don't think I want the place littered with Oscars, Emmy's, Tonys... and all the usual stuff that comes with being a Movie Star. A friend of mine said to me, while we were out shopping; 'Just think of someone having to dispose of all your shoes and lingerie after you are dead'. It really made me think about things. But Movie Stars never die... You'd think she'd have heard that song by Irene Cara by now. Anyway I suppose I should hold onto my stuff for my museum (Like Ava's)... I don't want to be just remembered for my Nicole Kidman jokes.
I do collect money, if anyone has some that they'd like to get rid of*... if it's just taking up space... kicking around... in the way.
*(Mexican drug cartel money considered)
