Good enough for Bullet Train. Should make over 30m despite mixed reviews. Brad Pitt's star power has yet to wane.

Disappointing for Bullet Train, as it was heavily frontloaded. Did the reviews really hurt it? At least Bodies, Bodies, Bodies is off to a promising start in limited release.

I think it was just really frontloaded. Be curious what the legs are for this since the month of August is pretty barren. Will definitely need to rely on international to turn a profit on the $90 million production budget. Good thing is historically Pitt does better internationally than the domestic box office.

It had one extra day of previews rolled in (approx. $1.2 million) which buffed up the preview number. Walk-ups are good apparently and it has absolutely zero competition for the rest of the month so I think it's gonna leg out.

Well Bullet Train didn't do that great, but Bodies, Bodies Bodies had the second best PTA of the year for a speciality release, and TGM just passed Titanic.

Bodies, Bodies Bodies had the second best PTA of the year Thought this was a PTA movie for a second and was about to orgasm, but then was confused why there wasn't a giant thread about it full of futuretrunks bitching.

Anyway, the main thing I remember about Bullet Train is the disappointment I felt whenever I would see the announcement thread and think it was a new David Lynch movie for a second and then realize it's not.
Top Gun was fine but I can live without a BP nod, I just don't think it's that good. If they were going to go with a blockbuster from this year I would go with Thor to be honest which might slip into my top ten at the end of the year, it was a lot of fun.

Quite the accomplishment for Peele his first 3 films out. Nope won't reach the domestic numbers Get Out and Us did but this is still quite amazing for 3 original R-rated Horror films.
