Since I’m on the cusp of buying a smoker, everything I want to make has been on my mind. Love pretty much all bbq but burnt ends, smoked brisket, pulled pork, and ribs are my faves.

Brisket and pork ribs are my go-tos.
Nothing beats BBQ in Texas. Franklin's in Austin is of course legendary, but my favorite place in Austin is actually La Barbecue, which has by far the best pork ribs I've ever had (like fall-off-the-bone amazing)... it's also not nearly as long of a wait as Franklin's, but the food is just as good.

I eat it constantly - but don't do it myself because I may be old but I don't do things that are my age like gardening, grilling, talking about the weather.......... or periodically breaking my hip. I have a lot of BBQ restaurants in my area - the best of which is a non-chain within walking distance - and who tell me that they don't have mashed potatoes as a side dish because that isn't "authentic" BBQ ......... yeah, ok, I don't think the Pilgrims had cans of cranberry sauce at the table of the first Thanksgiving either - that doesn't mean you can take it off my Thanksgiving, ok Smokey? Usually pulled pork for me but love it all and all the sides even the veggies and of course corn bread......also I love to go to Mission BBQ which is the most patriotic and American chain restaurant in America......I know no one on MAR is allowed to go there because you're all Leftist wackadoodles (kidding..... sort of ) .......but you have to love a restaurant where God Bless the USA plays twice in an hour, there's a freakin' tank in the parking lot and when you order the guy behind the counter asks "Did you serve?".......and looks absolutely baffled when I cheerfully say: "Oh, I've been serving up great stuff on MAR since 2017"
