Tarantino definitely watched this one. He lifted several scenes. It's definitely one of the biggest influences on Kill Bill, with the spaghetti western Death Rides A Horse also getting several notable references as well. |

What's interesting about it is that it has such... heart. For all the talk about the violence and bloodshed and the influence on Tarantino, what I came away with is how sad the whole thing is. It's a heartbreaking portrait of a woman who becomes trapped into this life because she no longer feels herself deserving of any other. As someone who struggles with those same thoughts, it hit a chord.
I think the movie has some shoddy pacing that drags it down considerably, but I appreciate the movie for what it achieves in the dramatic department.
