Since there are so damn many of them...
1. Pacino- Part 1 (though this is kind of unfair. He is lead. If you swapped him and Brando to their correct categories I probably put Brando here) 2. Stasberg- Part 2 (Legendary. Not talked about enough) 3. Garcia- Part 3 (If this was in a better movie a lot more people would talk about him. Electric) 4. Deniro- Part 2 (Honestly not that showy as a role but he is still magnetic) 5. Caan- Part 1 (A lot of his role got left of the cutting room floor. Still think he is fantastic though) 6. Duvall- Part 1 (Not a terribly challenging role for an actor of his talent but he is never not great) 7. Gazzo- Part 2 (Only one I'm not a fan of. Should have been Cazale's nomination)
1. Pacino, but as you say, total bullshit because he's not supporting in any capacity. 2. Gazzo. Incredibly underrated. But yes, Cazale was robbed of a nod. 3. Duvall. The most grounded performance of the bunch and really, I think he's the secret weapon of the first two films, and a major reason why the third film is so damned lacking. 4. Garcia. Star-making performance that is the only real reason to watch that movie. 5. Caan. Extremely dynamic, but I just don't really care much for Sonny. 6. Strasberg. I've never really cottoned onto the performance, even though his character is very interesting. 7. De Niro. I've never really been into this performance. He's not bad, but he's comfortably last here for me.
1. Pacino (obviously not supporting, but yeah one of the best performances ever) 2. De Niro (maybe not as big on it as some people are but a deserved win) 3. Duvall (definitely an underrated part of these movies) 4. Garcia (the only one who seems to give a damn in Godfather III) 5. Caan (good but Sonny is such a one dimensional part) 6. Strasberg (good in a boo hiss villain role) 7. Gazzo (okay)
