Elon Musk is in the traditon of nutso insanely rich dudes - like a more self-aware, pretentious, often mean-spirited and occasionally funny Howard Hughes - saying he makes "rockets that explode" is what is infantile rather - and a cheap shot too ........the point is he makes rockets ffs and goes into space and shit.....he makes electric cars ......and made them popular.....NOT that he "makes self-driving cars that malfunction and crash".......that goes with the territory and that isn't the source of his "appeal" - the failure is a given - the reach exceeding the grasp is the source of that "genius" word .......... whatever his appeal is anyway ......America (specifically) just loves that go forward and do bold shit (sorta)......... and always will...... Now do we love it.......No....but we are message board dweebs who obviously accomplished so much more with our lives and stuff  |

I'm sure Musk has a higher than average IQ, but I've tested all kinds of smart people who made very stupid and egregious mistakes in their personal/professional life and people within the average range (depending on the model, either 90-110 or 85-115) capable of extraordinary things. |
