If you're a Democrat, time to pull the emergency alarm and hit all the panic buttons you have. Below is a video from MSNBC. Yes, MSNBC. Just in case you cannot view the video, Steve Kornacki looks at how terrible the Democrats are doing in the congressional races. Pretty much every demographic is going Republican. Hispanics, college-educated, non-educated, men, women are going for the GOP. What did the Democrats do so wrong?

LOL.
Biden.... steepest fall I've seen since the elder Bush. Maybe even more. And for some of the similar issues.

Oh, it's not "what did the Democrats do wrong?" - it's just that pacinoyes left the Party a few months ago - and that dude is always ahead of the curve - I mean just think of his history on MAR - he was once so hated and now he's beloved - why?!?!? But..... has he really changed? .........or does his humor just finally make sense? ........or is it more evil than that - are we just normalizing his eccentric behavior and annoyingly..... bad .........punctuation? The US is typically center-left......it is now center-right. The Dems would be wise to start acting center right and "more Republican" and I don't just mean wearing crisp blue blazers and hiding their wealth in off-shore accounts while keeping their blow in their loafers. They could start with not ending title 42 which is going to be a huge deal in a few weeks and the kind of thing that doesn't just tank Biden - but reflects on the Party overall - and is going to cost them Arizona, Texas, Florida, - good political move, huh?....sarcasm....... ah well, I brought in some donuts for us. Enjoy! Happy Friday!

I've said this before, Biden's victory more than anything else was a mass condemnation of Trump AFTER four years of Trump (mostly COVID actually). It was a reaction against something, not mass support for Biden or the dems. When Republicans win in '22 and '24, it will be a reaction against four years of Biden. The only way Biden could've overcome those odds which were already incredibly steep, was to end the pandemic and markedly improve the lives of the people who voted for him. But there's a crisis every few months, prices are going up, inflation's going up, COVID is still strangling the economy and will be for years to come, and Biden's coalition in Congress hasn't accomplished jack shit to improve people's lives (because of Manchin and Sinema, but average voters aren't going to know that). Presumably after GOP has so much consolidated power for 4-6 years and proves yet again to be incompetent regressive idiots, that pendulum will swing back to blue. But it's going to be a lot of red for the next few years.
Civil rights protections & privileges will be rolled back, trans people are going to experience targeted legislative marginalization, we might enter another war, anti-racism discourse is going to be axed from public spaces, women not living in California are going to have a hard time getting abortions and in most red states post-Roe it will be practically or entirely banned, environmental safeguards that are already too lax are going to be loosened and climate crisis worsened (which brings its own problems--displacement, conflict, resource shortages, all of which we will not address until it's too late and then maybe not even then), voting is going to get massively harder and more inconvenient and power will be consolidated around state supreme courts and away from local authorities, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Biden gets impeached in 2023. GOP tends to keep pretty busy when in power.
