The ceremony needs to move to a streaming service or to TCM...

Elated for Chastain. She was clearly always going to win, anyone who saw the film could’ve seen that. Hilarious to think people thought Kidman was somehow the front runner after the Globes ‘win’ when it reality she was 5th place at the Oscars.

Wait a second, wait a second, you're telling me that the millennials and the Zoomers didn't tune in by the millions (using those cable subscriptions they all absolutely have in this year, 2022) so that they could find out the results of a Twitter poll and see such beloved celebrities as DJ Khaled, Shawn Mendes, and some dude from Euphoria? I don't know, I think they have some recounting to do!

I really need to stop letting films that over perform on nomination morning effect my BP winner predictions. It happened to me with Roma, 1917 and most of all Power of the Dog. Preferential ballot has really changed everything.

And Naomi hasn't even been in the preliminary conversation for over a decade.

It’s customary that the previous year’s acting winners get invited back to hand the award to the next set of winners. Does Smith get afforded that same courtesy?
Thinking about it the day after, what a shitshow. Not that I in any way defend Rock’s comments, but that slap was embarrassing, and I honestly couldn’t blame them if they decided not to extend him the offer. Then again, they’re also in a grey area where that could generate backlash. I really don’t know.

He’s literally the least shitty of all the shitty men AMPAS has rewarded

Her film had 3 above the line nods - all in acting. 5th place was likely Stewart - she was the sole nominee of her film and she had no SAG nod.
And it was not always clear that Chastain was going to win. It was a close race. She had the edge as the only previous nominee who had not won.

LOL! Sienna Miller told her date that she'd hope he would do the same thing Will Smith did for her if she was insulted www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2022/03/vanity-fair-oscar-party-reportFor all this politically correct talk of "toxic masculinity" a lot of people (and many women) low-key admire when a man takes action like that for their women. It's a primal thing in humans, and not a black thing, because last time I checked, Miller was a white woman. Smith's sex appeal probably went up with a lot of ladies after that. Again, it's a primal thing.

In all of this, Jada is the one getting the most hate from everyone including people breathlessly defending Will Smith. They’re blaming her for Will laying a hand on her and saying that she’s an abusive partner who’s a manipulator. Others trying to paint her as a cold bitch wife who emasculates her husband and forced him to slap Rock. And now people against the slap using venomous language calling her a “bald headed bitch”. I hope she’s not on social media. People on all sides have gone insane. I’m so sad for her

Between Will Smith’s classless behavior that would be more appropriate on Jerry Springer, and the laughable top cheer-worthy movie moments and fan favorite shit, this was probably the trashiest Oscars I’ve ever watched.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this was staged, also wouldn’t be surprised if it was real and we all just witnessed a cuck finally snap on live television. Could be a mix of the two as well
