Probably the most famous sandwich that went from "local" to "national" - Philly invented but now every state says they perfected it - vegetarians are horrified by the entire discussion tbh......... What do you put on yours? Wit? (people in the know will know) Pickles? Provolone? Sweet Peppers?..........  |

My all-time favorite sandwich. Onions, peppers, and provolone. Open to variation but absolutely NO mushrooms and even if it’s authentic I don’t prefer the liquid cheese oozed on it.

I do eat relatively healthy but absolutely have cheat days and if pizza is acceptable than so is this. Also, I pretty easily justify eating one on days I do heavy lifting (c’mon, it’s loaded with protein). |

All it needs is the essentials: steak and cheese, maybe some steak sauce. Less is more. Maybe the fries could go in it too, I had kebabs like this while I was in marseille and it was fantastic

It's not edible to me, personally.
I'm not Phildelphian or New Yorkan enough. I had one at Meadowlands a few years ago and I think it's the first time I ever tried it in my life.
I'm not a huge taco guy at all, but I think it tastes substantially less bland. I feel like there's too much meat to chew with cheesesteak, and when I eat something I don't expect majority meat to be the taste that lasts in my mouth.
