Tyler, you have the perfect pair right there: Fiennes and Davis. That would be a film to really savor.

Hard to argue with the OP's choices for Henry II.
I might Cate Blanchett and Juliette Binoche for Eleanor.

I'm sure Bening would be exceptional as Eleanor. Same thing for Day-Lewis as Henry.

I do think it's important to keep in mind when casting that Eleanor was over 10 years older than Henry. Just food for thought!
Love this video of Lynn Whitfield discussing her passion for the film:

Eleanor of Aquitaine: MADELEINE STOWE (she could use a cinematic comeback) Henry II of England: COLIN FIRTH or DANIEL DAY-LEWIS

Whoopi has named Eleanor as her dream role she's always dreamed of playing... so I have to say her. I thinks she'd kill it too. Perhaps she can do it on stage or on Lifetime because obviously nobody would ever cast her in a film version. Not sure who could play Henry. Perhaps Sir Ben Kingsley. PS happy birthday to ms Lynn Whitfield.
