Joker is a derivative piece of shit but that score slaps. Most Michael Bay movies actually have really good music. Don’t Look Up is another recent example.
What are yours?
Edit: Forgot Phantom Menace

The Black Dahlia. I don't hate this film because there are legitimately elements that are not just great but all-time great (Kirshner, the score, the production design and cinematography), but man, if the rest of the film lived up to those elements, it would rival the likes of Chinatown.

The Illusionist (2006) - Lots of people like it (sorry!) - but except for Rufus Sewell as the villain - I'd call it specifically dishonest and poorly acted by 2 sometimes great but often overrated actors - Giamatti and Norton - and an unconvincing Romance .......the score is all timer great obviously by Philip Glass ......
The Ninth Gate (1999) - Love Roman Polanski, he's the GOAT........ but the movie doesn't work after a great set-up ........however the score by Wojciech Kilar is terrifically demented and actually sounds like what the movie doesn't achieve itself........it sounds like the end of the world.......

Rachel Portman is kind of the queen of this. Lovely scores for forgettable 90s and 2000s prestige oscarbait melodramas (like Chocolat) and Abel Korzeniowski is the king -- gorgeous & stirring string-based scores for borderline unwatchable melodramas like W.E., Single Man, Nocturnal Animals.
Oh and Zimmer's score for The Da Vinci Code totally slaps

I'll also submit: The Village (James Newton Howard) Amélie (Yann Tiersen) The End of the Affair (Michael Nyman) Out of Africa (John Barry)

I have literally enjoyed every movie mentioned so far. (Edit: I started this before Tommen mentioned Chocolat, Out of Africa, Nocturnal Animals, and some others I haven't seen)
So I'll throw some other, ACTUALLY BAD movies out there. Akira. Attack of the Clones. Belladonna of Sadness. Her. Lawrence of Arabia. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds. The Prince of Egypt. Revenge of the Sith. Where the Wild Things Are.
Okay, I think that's enough to piss off just about everybody. One last parting shot of a truly amazing score in a mediocre film THREE COLORS: BLUE!!!

It's not a full score, but Little Person is an amazing song in a movie that I hate with all my soul.

Phantom Thread. Don't like the movie at all, but the score was excellent, and I thought his previous work with PTA was overhyped noise trash.
I agree about Phantom Menace too. Duel of the Fates and some of those tracks were awesome.

I don't really like Basic Instinct but I love Jerry Goldsmith's score for it. Same with Braveheart and James Horner.
Also Exorcist ||: The Heretic (a wasted Morricone) and pretty much every Halloween sequel. They upstaged the original '78 theme a number of times yet I don't recommend them to anybody.

Since MAR is obsessed with list making, my top 5 movies listed in this thread
1. Phantom Thread 2. Amelie 3. Lawrence of Arabia 4. The Village 5. Three Colors: Blue
HM to End of the Affair
This would be a better top five than most of you guys's actual top fives.
