Yep. This is Movie Awards, alright. Classic hostility.
Anyway, been debating the last few days what I was gonna see for my birthday. Lost City of Z it is.

I kind of thought it might have fared better. And as for personal taste, everybody has it. There is no right and wrong when it comes to perceiving filmns.

Nah that's just blockbusted being his usual retarded self, nothing to do with him being a Watson fan. Hey he is a nice dude as well. Just because he's nice doesn't mean he's not stupid.

Not surprising. Too bad for Hanks tho At least he tried his hands at playing a villain. Anyway this film's failure won't have any affect on Watson & Hanks career, it'll just be seen as a blip more then anything.

Also worth mentioning, is that the audience break down was evenly split between people under and over fifty per Deadline. No doubt because of Hanks, as i don't see any other appeal for an older crowd here. I imagine that the film would've put up significantly less impressive figures without him. I thought it was really interesting that Deadline cited him playing against type as one of the reasons for the films failure with that considered.

I just don't think the concept interested enough people, and the reviews weren't there, so pretty typical of most films at the box office these days.

As for Hanks, yeah he needs more than one failure to really have an effect on his career.

The book is horrible to begin with. I'm still surprised I finished the whole thing. Watson's got a bad taste when it comes to picking roles. Hanks should've known better that the movie was destined to suck.

I doubt 4 bombs in a row would have a major affect on his career at this point anyway.
