Dunst is the one that deserved it the most and for the longest. This should have been her 3rd at least.

Kotsur and Kotsur only (also Kodi a little bit). Love Dunst but this performance was not it.
I'd rank them like this:
Troy Kotsur Kodi Smit-McPhee Aunjanue Ellis Ciarán Hinds Kirsten Dunst Jessie Buckley Jesse Plemons Kristen Stewart
N/S Ariana Debose

I literally screamed when I heard Buckley's name. Happy for Plemons too.

Dunst is my favorite nod other than Nightmare Alley in Picture - I think it's a career best on film from her and this board just blows past her in that movie in a lot of cases - don't understand the criticism she gets in some circles........

I don't nominate one, and I haven't even seen the other, but I'm very ecstatic that Plemons and Buckley are now Oscar nominees.
DeBose, Hinds, Kotsur, Smit-McPhee and Dunst are all in my personal lineups. So yeah, can't complain.

It’s a great group, happy for all of them. Personally happiest about Plemons and Stewart.

Well, I think I'm happiest about Stewart because of how shaky her chances looked. But I'm also very enthusiastic about Dunst because she clearly wanted to feel that recognition from her peers for quite a while.

Very happy for Buckley, but Stewart is the big one for me. Can barely believe she made it.

I'm certainly disappointed that BAFTA's ridiculous new jury system robbed Dunst and Stewart of their first BAFTA nominations...

Ellis and Stewart are the best performances of the group, Buckley is the person I am most happy about getting nodded based on past work.

Although I don't particularly love the film, I'm thrilled that Kirsten Dunst is finally an Oscar nominee.
In terms of this year, I loved Kristen Stewart in Spencer, and seeing how she went from obvious frontrunner to probable snubbee, I was elated she made it in.

Oddly, the only one I'm happy about is Jesse Plemmons who is one of my favorite recent character actors. Oddly... because I don't think he deserves it for that performance for this year at all! Not particularly excited about any else
