Ben Affleck did not deserve that. At the same time, I found it bizarre how hellaciously overrated that performance became among the Film Twitter cognoscenti. I mean, he was better than Adam Driver in The Last Duel, but that's about it. Matt Damon's performance blew Affleck's out of the water, and in a just world, Damon would be in the running for an Oscar nod in Best Actor for that performance.
But yeah, I think Razzie voters are just trying to antagonise Film Twitter types (who are becoming annoyingly hyperbolic about things they both like and dislike)with that Affleck nomination. It was an overrated performance, but not a bad one.
Yikes for Amy Adams. The downfall can be rough for actresses when you hit a certain point in your 40's. Here's hoping she bounces back from this poor run and doesn't become another Naomi Watts in terms of a struggle career.

Affleck, what?  Like, if you put him in the worst screen couple with his hair and makeup job like they have Leto then fair enough (Damon would belong in there too then) but that's just lazy. What did they run out of bad movies, and just go with Affleck like it was twenty years ago? Good to see lots of Woman in the Window, but double nodding Amy Adams does not make up for not having the guts to nominate her last year. |

Who is managing his career to let him go out like this? I've been watching these Bruce Willis trailers for a while now. He's got a shitload of Z-grade stuff. I bet he's in those movies for like 5 minutes. I think he quite clearly doesn't give a fuck anymore. He'll just pick up anything that'll bring him some cash without him having to do anything. Kinda reminds me of that Kevin Smith story when they were shooting "Cop Out" and some fan screamed 'Die hard!' at them and Willis said 'I hate the ones who shout 'Die hard' the most'. I suppose the more time went on, the less of a fuck he gave. |

Regarding Willis, I've been seeing a lot of rumors thrown around recently about his mental health and being exploited by family/associates that seem really horrible if true. In that light I hope it's that he just doesn't give a shit.
I have not seen any of the movies but I did see a clip which is a hilarious masterclass in editing around an actor's availability

Outta all the movies, you're gonna hate on The Last Duel? They even shortlisted Harriet Walter for Worst Supp Actress.  They shortlisted a few from Axis Sally that prob deserved some spots (no Pacino mention though, bc he's actually really good in it). Rylance snuck by 'em bc that's a perf you kinda expect Razzies to....um, "celebrate." |

The Affleck nod is complete crap. Probably my second favorite performance of the year.
I did not see Dear Evan Hanson but Amy Adams was fine in Woman in the Window despite the movie itself being pretty bad. Really just seems like picking on her for no reason.
