Stewart not getting in wouldn't be a snub at this point. It would be the logical conclusion to a SAG/BAFTA miss and industry apathy towards her film.

Not sure I’m predicting anything specific but I certainly expect a couple of major snubs. Something on the level of Denzel or Branagh missing.

I wasn’t sure if Chastain counted since she did get the Globe, Critics Choice, and SAG nomination, but even with getting great reviews I think there’s a good chance she’ll miss because Gaga and Kidman and Hudson all seem to be fighting for the same vote, and I think the “passion” vote, not that all the nominees won’t have some passion, will favor Colman, Cruz, Haim, Reinsve, Stewart, and Thompson more, not that they’ll necessarily be nominated either though. (I am predicting Colman, Cruz, and Haim at the moment though.) I also think Stewart and Bardem will miss too; although I’m less certain about Bardem just because it will probably be between him and DiCaprio for the last spot, so I could still see him getting in. I would be really shocked if Stewart made it at this point though. I’m sure she’ll have her fans that vote for her, but I just don’t think it will be enough seeing how much Spencer has underperformed with the Industry, and as I wrote above with Colman, Cruz, Haim, Reinsve, and Thompson all having their fans too. |

Frankly, with both BAFTA and GG being either completely irrelevant or, at best, less relevant than ever as predictors, it's hard to talk about big snubs because there's less locks or near locks than ever. And someone like Smith or Cumberbatch or DeBose missing would probably be even more shocking than Affleck for Argo, so would be insane to bet on them missing.

She didn't make the SAG or BAFTA list.
She didn't win any of the big 4 critics circle prizes -- NBR, NY, LA, NSFC.
Her movie isn't very popular.
Nicole Kidman won the Globe. That was her big moment to get the annual globe  .
Chastain, Colman, and Haim were nominated for 3 out of the 4 major precursor trophies.
BTW, I avoid using the word "snub" here. The Academy has over 5k members. She could easily get the 6th or 7th most votes.

Garfield is probably the biggest I can think of as a credible possible snub. The nature of his film and the fact that he wasn't Top 2 with his home Academy (BAFTA ) makes me feel he's vulnerable. Odds favor him getting in, but I won't be shocked if he misses .
Odds are low that it happens, but the best actress race is wild and unpredictable enough for me to envisage a Lady Gaga snub.
