I watched all three...
I loved the book; I highly recommend it.
Though their are deviations from the novel, it still holds very to the book's spirit and that's the important thing. I cannot wait to watch the rest of the season.

I cannot wait to watch the rest of the season. I'm definitely interested in the book now. I don't know if this is a show I could binge watch really. The first episode left me exhausted as well as deeply impressed. I'll probably watch the second tomorrow. I'm glad after 3 it'll be weekly.

I'd watch it but it just looks too depressing and way too scary

I never expected to fall in love with a new show so quickly. This is addictive, terrifying, and so relevant. I didn't even know that Elizabeth Moss was doing this! She's fantastic and becoming my favourite thing.

Episode 3 of this tv-show is probably one of the best episodes of any tv-show I can remember. The flashback scenes were harrowing and felt almost too realistic. And Ofglen's storyline really broke my heart And I hope Alexis Bledel will be in consideration for this years Emmys for her performance in this episode. She was just too good!
The acting in general is quite spectacular. Especially, of course, Moss, Dowd, Strahovski and since episode 3 Bledel.
Probably the best tv-show of 2017 so far, and it has some stiff competition. (It probably ties with Big Little Lies, where episode 7 is up the with Handmaids Tale's episode 3, and Dear White People's Episode 5)

Great pilot! First episode of a new show I watched in a long time without complaining profusely lol, so I hope it stays at this calibre (or gets better).

Looks like another strong season. Marisa Tomei is guest starring (and possibly recurring) which makes me even more excited. Less thrilled about them extending Bledel's extremely effective turn (because it was so limited and her arc ended) into a series regular.

Strong first episode. The first half reminded me just how relentlessly grim and hard to take this show could be, and that opening scene was a genuine shock to the system after the way last season ended. Moss remains an endlessly engaging lead. Her escape felt a little convenient and simple, but I'm very excited for what it'll lead to going forward. 8.5/10
Also, the show's use of music continues to be really weird. That opening scene was incredible and harrowing, but the song choice threatened to ruin it.

Episode 2 is just as harrowing. Alexis Bledel, who I found pretty bland on Mad Men (the only other thing I've seen her in) continues to be outstanding in this role, and I loved the exploration into her past, painful though it was. I wasn't as into the June side of things, though it cannot be understated just how incredible Moss is in every single second. Nick is not mysterious, he's boring, at least right now. Still, another very solid episode. 8.5/10

Thought it was just me--the music choice is so bizarre, it took me out of half the scenes last season.

Episode was 4 absolutely exceptional, one of the best of the show to date - and also one of its most unsettling hours (and that's saying a lot). The flashbacks, which have occasionally felt tacked on and unnecessary, were superbly woven into the present narrative. There was something darkly funny about the June-Serena-Lydia living situation, but that then soon gave way to pure dark and sinister, and I fucking loved it. 10/10
This season is shaping up to possibly be better than the first, which I wouldn't have thought possible going in. Not because the first season was off-the-charts outstanding or anything - it was great, but very flawed - but because it felt like the creators were capitalising on the show's success rather than naturally continuing the story. Clearly, that was a bad assumption!

I disagree. I'm very disappointed with the way they chose to continue the story. I think they are just "capitalising on the show's success rather than naturally continuing the story". They chose to stay with Offred.

They chose to stay with Offred. Eh, I think that, 6 episodes in, this season has been better than the first by a fairly significant margin.

Episode 8 - that scene with the commander was unbearably tense and disturbing in a way this show does so well. Another fantastic episode in a fantastic season.

Yvonne better be nominated this year. Serena Joy is probably the most complicated, intriguing character on the show.

I have semi-big problems with how it wrapped and the prospects for S3, but overall that was a phenomenal second season for this show. It could get impossibly harrowing (I really clocked this after binging three eps in a row), but it never felt excessive or unnecessary - just honest. The acting from most of the ensemble is incredible, particularly from Strahovski and the ever-magnificent Moss. So yeah, while I'm worried this show will go off the deep-end next year due to how it ended, I'm still deeply impressed.
Season rating: 9.5/10
